School Social Work Service
Purpose: To provide care and education services for children in a long whole-day basis
Target Group: Healthy child (aged 2 - 6)
Medium of Instruction: Cantonese
Teaching Approaches and Activities:
- Playing instructive and diversified activities;
- implementing balanced, integrated, spiral curriculum according to children's maturity and characteristics;
- cultivating in children a positive attitude in learning;
- selecting teaching materials for curriculum based on the needs and learning progress of the children in order to arouse their learning interest;
- observing and evaluating the developmental progresses of children, and reporting to their parents regularly; and
- encouraging parents to co-operate and communicate with us regarding children's matters.
Service Hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Closed on Sundays, public holidays and nursery school holidays.
Purpose: To prevent children from being left unattended at home, assists parents in caring them temporarily.
Target Group: Healthy child (aged 2 - 6)
Teaching Approaches and Activities: Games, handicrafts, music activities, stories, daily care including lunches and siestas.
Service Hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Closed on Sundays, public holidays and nursery school holidays.
Purpose: Extended Hours Child Care Service aims at meeting the needs of parents who require longer child care. Parents may face any problems listed as below:
- Single-parent family with work requirements;
- Work overtime;
- Continuing education; and
- Job seeking.
Target Group:14 Children, aged 2 - 6, are currently joining our extended hours service. They are the students in our nursery school simultaneously.
Teaching Approaches and Activities: Games, handicrafts, stories, daily care including dinners.
Service Hours:
Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.; 6:00p.m. –8:00p.m.
Saturdays: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.; 1:00p.m.–3:00p.m.
Closed on Sundays, public holidays and nursery school holidays.
Purpose: The programme is specially designed for the mildly disabled children with evaluation. Children can have a development on their abilities, opportunities on education as well as training and care from our staff.
Target Group: Mildly disabled children aged 2 - 6 (Referred by the Central Referral System of Social Welfare Department.)
Capacities: 12
Teaching Activities: Trainings are planned according to the developmental stages of children.
Following items are carried our respectively based on the developmental stage of the child:
- Individual counseling;
- Group counseling; or
- Learning environment.
Purpose: Offered by T.W.G.Hs., provide on-site intervention for children aged 2-6 with special educational needs through assessment training, family and school support. To enhance the learning and development of these children through supporting their families and schools.
Target Group: Mildly disabled children aged 2 - 6 (Referred by the Central Referral System of Social Welfare Department.)
Scope of services: Trainings are planned according to the developmental stages of children.

Leap! was brought to Hong Kong by The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation in partnership with the Cloud Gate Dance School. With over 10-year experiences, an expert team of Cloud Gate Dance School veteran dancers, dance and music educators, child education practitioners and psychologists foster development in physical, cognition, social and aesthetic aspects in children.
Leap! has been launching by T.W.G.Hs. This programme commences in October every academic year. Attending classes carried out by our Leap! tutor once a week, children can accumulate bodily experiences and learn to be respectful and caring.
Purpose: School Social Work Service is offered by T.W.G.Hs.
Target Group: Children studying in our school and their parents
Scope of services: Parenting education and assistance on maintaining good parent-child relationship, development on social skills and childhood emotional.
Service Content: Counseling, referrals, group activities, workshops, seminars and home visits.
